On Tuesday evening just before 8 pm, roof of LSSP hangar was damaged by wind. Aircraft in hangar was immediately secured and fire brigade was called to prevent other potential damage by wind on the roof. “We thank the firefighters for a very quick and professional intervention,” said Petr Kříž, director of the airport.
Specialized company started to secure the roof early in the morning, right after the winfd let them work in height.
Statics of the hangar is OK according to static statement and the roof is secured against another gust of wind. Repair of the roof can due to work safety start after the weather calm down. By the weather forecast, repair should be done till the end of week.
Shooting of Škoda Auto commercial, which was scheduled for today, had to be canceled due to weather conditions and hangar situation. Airport traffic was otherwise limited only by weather conditions.
